I recently heard the question “Can we complete the Great Commission without church planting?” It is a great question that encourages us to take church planting even more seriously. The recent history of ConvergeNW Church Planting has been remarkable illustration of “Back to the Future.” Our movement of churches began by planting churches in key cities of the northwest in the 1880s. We have returned to that early focus of our founders. Today we continue to plant churches in strategic communities and where ever people need Jesus throughout the Northwest.
Starting with the “best practices” of the TeAmerica church planting movement and partnering with other church planting leaders we have set our sights to plant more churches, with more leaders, in more places.
Over the past 6 years we have mobilized 18 church planters and launched 15 churches. Our vision is to do much more, much better in the days ahead.
